Let’s get one thing straight… I didn’t just enter the wellness industry. I flipped that bitch inside out.
I’m Britteny Floyd-Mayo; also known as Trap Yoga Bae®, founder of The Shift Society, and the woman who made self-healing feel like a homecoming instead of homework.
I built one of the most recognizable movements in modern yoga, bringing thousands of women many for the first time, into a wellness space that looked, moved, and spoke like us. I didn’t just stretch bodies; I expanded what was possible for an entire culture.
That’s why Forbes named me one of the “Top 8 Wellness Gurus to Keep Your Eye On.”
I’ve been featured by Essence, BET, Nike, Adidas, and Michelle Obama’s team (yes, that Michelle Obama, her people sent me her book personally). I’ve sold out arenas, led international retreats, and coached thousands of women through confidence crises, career pivots, and the kind of personal transformations that ripple through generations.
I’m a Clinical Hypnotherapist with degrees in Social Behavioral Studies and Positive Psychology, which means I don’t just motivate you; I rewire you. My work merges science, soul, and a little bit of ratchet magic to help women stop surviving and start shining.

Healing doesn’t have to hurt. Confidence doesn’t have to be cold. And you don’t have to abandon your culture to evolve.
I built The Shift Society to help women become so confident it’s contagious, through community, live coaching, and The Unfukwitable Method™, my signature approach that transforms self-doubt into self-trust.
Standing next to two powerhouses ( Congresswoman Jasmine Crocket and Jenifer Lewis) Reminds me to remind you to you:
You are not too loud, too emotional, or too much. You are simply becoming everything you were always meant to be.

This is more than mindset work, it’s identity work. I help women who’ve been performing for approval remember who the hell they are.
And when that clicks?
They stop apologizing.
They start attracting.
And their whole damn life levels up.
You probably already know me as the woman who built a movement.
But let me introduce you to the woman who built herself back.
I was a foster youth, and even then, I knew I wanted to be a motivational speaker; I just didn’t realize how much life would give me to heal from first. Every heartbreak, every setback, every comeback shaped the way I teach, coach, and connect today. Looking back, I probably should’ve known where I was headed, I was the student body president and the commencement speaker at almost every graduation I’ve ever had. Turns out, I was always meant to help people feel something and make sense of their own wild, beautiful journeys.
I’m a proud mama of brilliant and moody teens and pre-teens my greatest teachers in love, laughter, and grace. They’ve watched me rebuild, rise, and remind myself daily that joy isn’t something you wait for… it’s something you create.

After leaving an abusive marriage, I found real love; the kind that’s safe, grown, and full of peace instead of pain. It’s a love built on laughter that reaches the soul. That’s the kind of love I wish for every woman I meet.
Fun fact: I share a birthday with Elmo from Sesame Street, which feels about right, because we both believe in big feelings, bright colors, and unconditional love. And we both stand on business when someone (or something… looking at you, Rocko) doesn’t sit right with us. IYKYK.
Let’s Find Out Why I Still Play Small
I’m a certified member of the Beyhive, okay?I have seen more than 11 shows live and travelled as far as Paris to witness her greatness. But, I don’t just love Beyoncé’s music… I study her discipline, her ownership, her evolution. She’s a masterclass in grace and greatness coexisting. And if you ever ask me my favorite Bey song, just know you don’t value my mental health because there’s no universe where I can pick one without short-circuiting.

I’m happiest at the beach or with my feet touching grass, gleefully frolicking around, skin glowing, SPF fully applied (because yes, Black girls need sunscreen too). That’s where I feel closest to God, to myself, and to the version of me who made it through everything she thought she couldn’t.
Maya Angelou taught me what it means to be powerful and poetic at the same time. I still perform Phenomenal Woman every time I sound-check for an event…. it’s my personal anthem and reminder of who I am.
And if I could leave you with one truth, it would be this:
“I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.”
— Maya Angelou
Because no matter where you start, what matters most is how you rise.
Let’s Find Out Why I Still Play Small

Brittany spilled the tea on worthiness, manifestation, and why softness is the new flex. It’s giving grown woman, not good girl.

Britteny dropped talked about the weight leaving her kids while she travelled the world to find herself after an abusive marriage, dropped ratchet affirmations, spilled self-care secrets, and taught you how to oxygen-mask first (not an option, sis).

Britteny came thru with the love & the truth: self-acceptance isn’t a luxury, it’s the origin of everything. This episode will mess with your inner critic (in the best way).

I spilled the tea on walking away from being “the yoga girl,” the courage to start over, and how to flip your past lessons into a guaranteed future flex.

Because it’s a system.
